Thats OK. The only way I'm going to learn about WOC is to read about it here. I've been stuck on What waits in Shadow for 4 months so this is the only way I can finish the story. LOL......

I've really enjoyed part 3 so far. I really like the added hero reward for completing it again in HM, gives another incentive to play through it again, other than to get to some of the fun fights. i really don't get why people are complaining about it, The HM quests are challenging but nowhere near as frustrating as they were. Best part of the WoC series just a shame that part had such boring quests :/

I wonder if it will be as boring as HotN. Probably just another stunt to throw more costumes at us.

Does anyone else find the rewards a little wierd?
Oath of Purity - Double-click to remove 15% of all party member's Death Penalty. This item cannot be used in PvP.
Cost: 3 Ministerial Commendations
Seal of the Dragon Empire - You (not the rest of your party) gain a 10% morale boost.
Cost: 3 Imperial Guard Requisition Orders, effectively 9 Ministerial Commendations.
From the description, doesn't it sound like Oath of Purity > Seal of the Dragon Empire and yet it is three times cheaper?!

Morale boosts are far better then dp-removal. The DP will get removed by playing and gaining xp.
Oath of Purity might be better if you plan on dying though. ^^

Seal of the Dragon Empire is equivalent to 1 Pumpkin cookie despite its grand sounding name. So 1 Pumpkin cookie is worth a lockbox? Right...

I would say one Pumpkin cookie is worth more than most of the stuff in the lockbox yes Atleast from a gameplay perspective

**SIGH** It's going to be hard to babysit a bunch of heroes trough the HM version of this, keeping them alive, moving them away from AOE attacks and at the same time making sure the enemy casters go down asap. Maybe it would go smoother if i switched to smite?

These exist, so there's not much point in either one of those two.

What are you talking about Gwen is THE original henchman. She is your first healer in the game if you start in prophecies.
Not a very good healer mind you but she does toss off the random heal every now and then.

I'm not sure if it was just this mission, but has anyone else had a Ministerial Commendation drop after killing MOP members? I should have taken a screenshot, but I had one drop for me during the "Warning the Tengu" mission in HM. Maybe it was a boss drop, but I don't ever remember that happening before in NM or anywhere else.
EDIT: Psh, should have read the Wiki first - they do drop randomly from the MoP.

I'm just about done with WOC, and I'm starting to wonder...what does the Emperor think of all this? I haven't seen him mentioned at all, and a quick look through the quest dialogues don't really mention him (though I could have missed something).
So, what's up with his silence? With all of this going on, you'd think we'd talk to him once or twice - after all, we are the Heroes of Cantha, saving his bacon once again.
Or...maybe he's the mysterious Xun Rao?
John Stumme has this to say about Xun
Quote:
I will say nothing further on the matter of Xun Rao, except that what you see (or don't see) of him is intentional. [[John_Stumme|'''John Stumme''']] 06:26, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
|
(From his wiki talk page)
That's a wild guess...otherwise, though, the silence from the Emperor is rather puzzling.
Another guess - they're not the same person, but Xun has Kisu bottled up in some way.
----------
Or, I could have looked further down the same page, and seen that the Emperor was just...left out.
Nevermind.

Yes they do drop in NM too. Happened to me at least twice.
I completed WoC by partying up 2 characters (from different accounts, of course), so I get twice the rewards by just going through it once. And yes, I control 2 keyboards. Even for the 4-man quests it is still possible to control 2 characters at the same time, at least in NM, I will try out HM if I can find time.
Well...except for that solo quest where I have to do it twice.
